AKEA provided all necessary personnel, management, supervision, labor, administrative support, materials, supplies, and equipment to perform all recycling requirements at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield (HAAF). The work included collecting, transporting, offloading, separating, processing, baling and warehousing, and weighing all recyclables as raw materials in a manner that constituted recycling as defined in and in compliance with the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). All recyclable materials were transported to the Fort Stewart processing station, the Fort Stewart recycling center, or the HAAF recycling center, and were segregated, stored, and prepared for sale in such a manner that would bring the highest market value possible.
