Replace Garris Landing Sewage Pump Station

Project to remove the existing Garris Landing sewage pump station at Cape Romain NWR and to install a new pump station and all components capable of servicing the system demands. Requirements included reconfiguring existing gravity sewer lines serving a maintenance building, mobile home, and RV sites; installing 425 feet of 6-inch gravity sewer and 475 feet of 2-inch force-main; replacing existing electrical conductors serving the existing lift station; replacing a wooden security fence; installing a temporary holding facility for sewage during shutdown; and investigating National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) regulations and permits for designing and constructing a separate system for storm water collection and disposal.
